[mefi-projects] #064 10-Aug-2003

Got two new announcements this week, plus one I thought I had sent out but
can't seem to find in any of the archives. (Sorry Jon!) Be sure to check
out the MetaFilter Tribe; Tribe.net seems to combine the best stuff from
sites like Friendster, CommunityZero, and CraigsList, I was quite impressed
with their setup (although it's still in beta, so there may be some bugs).

Lot23 <http://www.lot23.com>
Total redesign of my portfolio site. Includes 2 interactive web games,
a comic, and 80 other projects once I figure out how to incorporate them
into the new layout.

BuoyTalk <http://www.buoytalk.com>
BuoyTalk is a MetaPhilter installation which is about as
special-interest as forums get. It has been established to provide a forum
for those interested in the sport of power boat racing in Australia to
discuss issues and news related to the sport. Thanks to Jack from
MetaPhilter for his assistance and patience during the set-up process.

MetaFilter Tribe <http://mefi.tribe.net>
How many times have you wanted to ask the herd a question... and
couldn't because it's JUST NOT DONE? Ever wanted to let everyone know about
something you're working on, secretly hoping that it would end up on the
front page of Metafilter? Introducing the Metafilter Tribe at Tribe.net...
a new hangout for anyone with a Mefi username.

Got a new site or a major change to announce? E-mail the site's name, URL,
your MetaFilter user name, and a brief (fifty words or thereabouts) blurb to
mefi-projects AT jerrykindall.com. If you want to make the moderator a happy
camper, do it in the same format as the ones you see above.
