Harrowing holidays, the envelope please, and computing list are the
announcements for the first week of the new year. Enjoy!

Fray: Tell your holiday story! <http://fray.com/criminal/luncheon/>
Come read Fray's special holiday story by Beth Lisick: Kathy's Annual
Ladies Luncheon. It's about her family's annual Christmas gathering, and how
it went very, very wrong one year. Have you just had a harrowing holiday?
Tell your story!

Fourth Annual Weblog Awards <http://2004.bloggies.com/>
Some try to lose. Some try to get into the wrong categories. Some try to
get out of it entirely. And some win. We call it the Bloggies.

Compute mailing list <http://www.acooke.org/andrew/compute.html>
A lowish volume list (about 1 message a day) for interesting links
usually related to computing. There's an emphasis on programming languages,
but the spread is pretty wide. See the archives via the link above for
examples. Currently I'm almost the only person posting, but others are
welcome to contribute as long as they follow the same general themes.

Got a new site or a major change to announce? E-mail the site's name, URL,
your MetaFilter user name, and a brief (fifty words or thereabouts) blurb to
mefi-projects AT jerrykindall.com. If you want to make the moderator a happy
camper, do it in the same format as the ones you see above.
